Damsel Fly

I went for a walk along the parkway and there were tons of Damsel Flies, so I went back and got my camera along with my macro lens and tripod.  Here's one of the photos I took.

Door County Pick-Up

Here's an attempt at an HDR (High Dynamic Range) shot.  Unfortunately, I didn't have my bracketing set correctly, so I kinda had to fake it on the computer.   Below is the original photo (before HDR). 

Spider on Alium

There was a tiny red spider-like thing on an Alium "petal".  It was about the size of a pin-head, so super small and boy, was he fast!

Great Morning for Macro

It was misting out this morning so once it stopped I went out in the yard and found lots of tiny little water droplets on everything from cottony spider web-like things to blades of grass and flower petals.

My First Orchid

I've never had an orchid before as I hear they are difficult to keep alive, but at just $10 I figured, what the heck! It will at least give me a few hours of fun taking photos and that's gotta be worth $10.

Purple Tulip

Buzz Buzz...Spring has Sprung!

The tulip bulbs I planted last fall are finally blooming (it felt like forever!) so today I started to take a few shots of them with little luck (because of the wind) and just as I was about to pack up I heard "bzzzzz."  I looked around and didn't see anything, so I started peeking in the flowers and there he buzzed!
